Im glad you are in italy and not too scared!! I will be in florence on the 28th!! If you dont want to pay for internet in the internet cafe there are a view wireless internet points in florence(if you have a lab top). Outside the boboli gardens on that wierd sandstone hill is wireless and also in piazza santa spirito and there is a cafe where you can get free internet if you buy something call moya(maybe moyo). it is by lochness but i forget what road that is on. : (. If you walk down via dei neri (its the road right after all the statues if your walking towards the river)from piazza della signoria its on the second or third road to the right.
hey john! i actually invested in getting internet for my apartment so i dont have to pay..haha im lazy. so i cant wait to see u! on the 27th me and my roommate are going to a chocolate festival so im looking forward to that...anyway see u soon!!!
While you're over there in Italy you NEED to see St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, if you haven't already. It's incredibly beautiful, and being that you're a painter and all, I think it would be a really incredible experience for you. You should check out the Leaning Tower of Pisa (which I've never seen) while you're there too, since you're pretty close to Pisa I think. But yeah, definitely do everthing in your power to see St. Peter's Basilica, ok? Hitchhike there if you have too :)
(Just to clarify the above, I'm talking about the whole building complex, which includes the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums, not just the Basilica itself.)

But yeah, go see it :)
you do realize im not in rome hopefully....right? and just so u know i saw it last time i came to italy...when i was actually in rome and the vatican...
Why do you have to respond to all my comments like that? Of course I realize you're not in Rome, but that doesn't mean you can't go there. I managed to throw Rome in as part of my trip to Malta and Sicily, and they're a lot farther away from Rome than Florence is. Anyway, I'm glad you've seen it though. It's amazing, isn't it?
well you know what? i am going to rome. but i dont need you of all people telling me what art to see and not see. maybe i would respect your 'suggestions' if you first of all, didnt act like u knew everything, and secondly, actually could say u knew more about art than me. what you did is like suggesting to a physicist to go read a book on albert einstein cuz he was important for physics. it is something that goes without saying, and since u took me for a fool, im going to take you for a fool with anything you comment on my art about, especially considering your record of horrific comments
How do you do this? How do you manage to find something to be offended about in everything that I say to you? Obviously I didn't mean to imply that you didn't know about St. Peter's Basilica, obviously I don't believe that I know anywhere near as much about art as you do, and I certainly don't think that you're a fool. There have definitely been some times when I thought you were a little bit nuts, like now, but I would never doubt your intelligence. I don't know why you think everything is an attack against you. It's not. I just wanted to make sure that you saw St. Peter's Basilica before you left Italy. What the hell is so horrible about that?
